About the Job

For Designers, Facilitators and User Researchers

As a Product Designer, Facilitator, User Researcher or Creative Director at Deep Work, you work approximately 4 hours per day. You can work from anywhere – you only need your laptop with a stable internet connection.

There are two ways of starting out to work on projects with Deep Work:

  • As an Expert when you’re confident that your skills are at the level of quality Deep Work delivers.
  • As a Collaborator, if you’re not 100% confident of your skillset. This means you can mainly learn and gather experience in a realistic environment. You don’t need to be highly skilled and you don’t carry responsibility.

Apply as an Expert

If you are highly skilled and confident of being so, please fill out the collaborator Typeform and reach out to another Expert in the Community. You can find them by their blue name and an “Expert” badge on their profile. Make them aware of your application and ask them about the next opportunity to work on a project.
If they like your work, they will then supervise you on the next available project.

Apply as a Collaborator
If you have never worked with Deep Work and you are not 100% confident with your skillset, we recommend you to start as a Collaborator and select a few tasks you feel confident with. This makes you familiar with the Deep Work environment, the speed, and the processes of our work.

About the Company

Deep Work Studio

Deep Work provides radically better design for technical teams and founders. Our creative approach consists of a set of interactive workshops, high fidelity prototyping and user testing with a turnaround time of 7 to 20 days per project.

Deep Work is a highly flexible collective of freelancers. Our projects are made of domain experts in workshop facilitation, product design, and user research. For each client or project, we put together the best possible team. Everyone turns up, completes their specific job to a high standard specific to their skillset, then moves onto the next project (inside or outside Deep Work).
This means we don’t have permanent roles, but a community of collaborators and experts. This enables everyone’s work to our guiding principles:

People and Health First – Deep Work is built with everyone’s health put first. Only if we prioritize mind and body (mental health, sleep, nutrition, exercise, nature, community) can you, our team, and the community perform to our best.

Collaboration Second – We believe that an organization can be most effective with a combination of hierarchical and cooperative structures. We use innovative processes and tools to optimize for meaningful collaboration, enjoyable work, and high-end creative output.
